Exactly the book I wanted

About 50 years ago, when I was in high school and playing piano a lot, a neighbor gave me this book. I have had it all this time, but it finally began to fall apart and some of the pages were lost. I didn't know you could still get it!

The very old version I had was string-bound and very sturdy -- this new one is just glued and I am afraid to open it without cracking the binding. Also, some of the pages are printed too light.

One plus of this new version is that it is somewhat bigger and easier to see.

This is a classic book of music

Had a version of this for as long as I can remember, the first was string bound a worn. Replaced it some 25 years ago and now that one is worn out. The one I just bought I had rebound with a ring binder, which makes it lay flat while on music stand. There two grips I have with it is the margins are too narrow and it's printed with cheap paper.

A very good instruction manual

This book describes in clear detail how to properly bind a book for maximum durability. It includes details on case bindings (the easiest and weakest), library bindings (one of the strongest), flexible and sunk-cord bindings (traditional), and limp bindings. Although the author makes much about having the right tools, his descriptions are clear enough that one can improvise. With this book, I was able to make a book from paper, boards, and leather that came out quite well on my first try.

A "Must Have" Book for the Serious Bookbinder

Of the many popular books in print today on bookbinding, this one is by far the most comprehensive. It reads like a graduate level textbook and must be studied carefully; it isn't conducive to casual reading. Many of the sentences are difficult to understand and must be thought about for awhile to figure out. Nevertheless, I wouldn't want to undertake a new step in the binding process without first reading what this book has to say. I strongly recommend it for the serious student of bookbinding.

It discusses, in detail, a vast number of topics -- some not discussed by many other books on the subject -- in a very readable style. This is one of the most useful, and most referred to, books on bookbinding that I own.

sexy shifter series!

This was a really sweet story in a series I have really come to enjoy. The book blurb is a touch misleading as there is night quite as much friction between the lead characters as it implies.

Fred is a really nice character and the kind of independent gal Ms Masters has delivered throughout the series. She is looking for a mate but not trying to sacrifice who she is to make it happen. It is great to see her meet and interact with past characters from the series.

Hektor is bold but not overpowering. I really liked him and his whole approach.

The steam factor is higher in the end of the book than others in the series. I do love a good dessert scene! Yummy!

The story here was sweet but a touch bland. No real drama or outside problems to overcome. Just a simple sweet story of two mates finding each other.

Can not wait to see what is next for the Crossroads, so many possibilities!

The first few books I absolutely loved them. But the last few books didn't seem like the author gave it her all and I was rather disappointed. Well not anymore! If the next book is like this I will definitely be buying it.
I absolutely loved this book. I thought the author got her "groove back". I would definitely recommend this amazing book to anyone and everyone. The whole story was very fulfilling. From start to finish this book was amazing. I hope the next book is just as amazing as this one was.
I can't wait to read the next book.

I really enjoyed the story line, both the bear and the bird getting a good intro before showing up at the crossroads. The story had the usual fun air to it, and the mishaps had me smiling. I felt so bad for the both when things just seemed to keep piling up! I'm very pleased with the new caretaker and her making sure the blueberry muffins have continued. Liked the story line, loved the new characters, and cant wait for another one.

Hoping for a hedgehog to show up sometime! Tho I do love those beavers.
