Benjamin Keen is Professor Emeritus of Latin American history at Northern Illinois University. He is the author of The Aztec Image in Western Thought (Rutgers University Press) and many other books.

This book is an excellent guide to help understand the basics of healthy relationships. The only drawback is if you are unable to see your own flaws then this won't bring about the changes the book is addressing. Some people will need the help of a really insightful, competent counselor.

Retail in Detail, very informative!

Retail in Detail, How to start and manage a small retail business, was the most informative book I have read to date. In all the information out there to help you decide what to do and when, it gets a bit overwhelming. This book broke down very important points and explains them in detail. Other areas are hit lightly but you are given a variety of other areas of interest to answer them whether it is another book, etc. I will keep this with me for a long time.

I found this book dissapointing for the following reasons:

The author's only experience in retail was in giftware so he hardly mentioned examples from other industries.

There is little mention of sales techniques (vital to success in today's competitive environment) nor little advise on how to wow your customers with extraordinary service.

The book offered little advise on which types of people you should employ - and how they should be trained to maximise your customer's shopping experience and your company's profitability.

If you are looking for a book to inspire you - rather look at Retail Success.

Delight was hard to put down! Pat Menser brought the 10 commandments alive, reminding me of their relevance today. I loved the personal stories from the authors life that were so easy to relate to. I also enjoyed the Scripture from both the old and new testimony throughout the book!

What a "Delight". A great read that spoke to me in so many ways.In Delight ,Pat Menser reveals how God's words from ancient times are just as relevant today as they were then. The examples that were used throughout the book helped me connect scripture to issues common in today's culture.I enjoyed using the book as a devotional. Taking time to read, study, and absorb the wisdom of God's word.

Loved Delight!

I enjoyed Delight as a great reminder into the importance of the 10 commandments and as new angle taken on how these commandments are actually in place to free us instead of enslave us to God. The book is rich in scripture and does a great job tying in New Testament with the Old. Highly recommended for a group study or as a devotional.
