Rich Restucci is a practicing chemist and writer. His stories have been published in Dead Worlds 7 and Feast or Famine. He enjoys drinking beer, stocking up on weapons and supplies, and reading/writing anything zombie related. Rich resides with his family in Pembroke, Massachusetts.

I generally agree with Lone Wolf Rising.

I have to agree with Lone Wolf Rising, although the book does deserve better than one star. In accordance with Lone Wolf, the story is very simplistic. I can't say that the majority of characters were caricatures, but a couple were, and it was annoying. [ex. Doc Murda] The book doesn't rate the four and five star reviews that it received. Due to the predictability of much of it the book was kind of a chore to get through. Fortunately, the author managed to create a number of scenario's that I found fresh, and the book was edited fairly well. I hope the author keeps trying, I can see that he'd get good at storytelling.
I'm not sure I'll buy book two.

RUN to Amazon for this book!

I am NOT a prolific zombie/post-apocalyptic reader, but I couldn't put this down! The story itself was exciting and suspenseful and I was disappointed when the book ended. I can't wait for more! The characters were fun and interesting and very diverse. This was a very smooth and easy read, despite the subject matter. While the idea of the undead biting chunks out of friends and family is on the heavy side, Mr. Restucci wrote this in a way that wasn't overly daunting. I have to admit that I "cheated" while I was reading. When, like in this book, the chapters jump between characters, I'd get so caught up in one character that I had to find out if they were OK the next time they showed up in the story. So, I ended up reading much of the book out-of-order. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens to my new friends! Thanks for opening up this new literary world!

I tossed this KU option at 45%. There wasn't much character depth and it felt like there were two different stories being told.
